Q. Can Epicare be used on eyebrows or other parts of the body?
No. Your Epicare should not be used to remove hair from the eyebrows or near the eye are as it is so effective it could remove your eyelashes! Epicare should only be used on the upper lip, chin, cheeks and neck area. It should also not be used to remove hair on any other body area not specified.
Q. Will using Epicare cause an allergic reaction or skin irritation?
No. Epicare is safe and natural. If you don't have an allergic reaction or skin irritation with tweezing (where hair is also removed from the roots), then you will be safe to use Epicare. If you really have sensitive skin you may experience slight redness which will fade quickly and will lessen with each use.
Q. I have tanned or dark skin. Can I use Epicare?
Yes! In fact we strongly recommend that you use Epicare for facial hair removal if you have tanned or dark skin. You will not be a good candidate for waxing, depilatories, tweezing or laser hair removal as they are likely to cause pigmentation of the skin. Epicare is the best hair removal method for you if you have tanned or dark skin.
Q. Will hair re-growth be coarser, or faster after using Epicare?
With regular Epicare use, hair re-growth will be both finer and slower as the hair is removed directly from the root, weakening the hair folicle's ability to regenerate resulting in a smooth hair free face for longer!
Q. How often can I use my Epicare?
Your Epicare can be used as little or as often as you need to. Use will vary from person to person although on average, you can expect to use your Epicare between 1 and 4 weeks for each short Epicare session.
Q. I am pregnant. Is it safe for me to use Epicare?
Yes! Epicare does not use any chemicals, wax or bleaching agents. It is a natural way of removing hair and is very safe for use during pregnancy.
Q. How long my Epicare last?
If maintained properly you should be able to use Epicare anywhere from 6 months to one year before it needs replaced.
Q. My skin is very thin due to medication. Will the Epicare tear or remove a layer of skin like waxing?
No. Epicare will only remove the hair directly from the roots and will not tear/damage or remove a layer of skin unlike waxing, bleaches or depilatory creams.
Q. How does Epicare work?
The Epicare works by simply bending the threader into an inverted "U" shape and then by rotating the handles inwards and outwards, rolling the threader on the area you wish to remove hair -- hairs will be removed in the precision coiled spring mechanism. It's THAT Simple!
Q. How do I clean my Epicare?
To clean simply bend the Epicare like an inverted 'U' and shake off the trapped hair. Wipe with a clean dry cloth or tissue. Do not wash Epicare in water. Epicare is not waterproof and should be used on dry, clean skin.
Q. Do I need to replace any parts on the Epicare?
No. Never.
